In recent years, many provinces in our country have sped
up tourism field and received lots of profit from it.
The advantages from the country, the people, the seas,
the islands, the historical – cultural tradition, the
architecture of temples and mausoleums … along with the
fascinating recreational tours, cultural – historical
tours…have attracted more and more tourists.
In
Mekong Delta, Soc Trang falling in line with
tourism development of other provinces – has started
with many encouraging results. Several tourist points
have been opened such as Bat Pagoda, Clay Pagoda, My
Phuoc islet, Tan Long stork garden, Four Sides Pagoda,
ecological tourism along lower section of Hau River (Ke
Sach and Cu Lao Dung town), Cultural Zone Ho Nuoc Ngot
…The strong force of Soc Trang is that it has the
variety of land consisting of mainland, isles, rivers,
seas …together with many historical – cultural sites,
architectures of pagodas and temples, special cultures
of three peoples – Kinh , Khmer, Chinese and annual
traditional festivals. In addition, many places of
historical interest such as Uncle Ho temple ( An Thanh
Dong village), Con Dao prisoners meeting point –
September 1945 (Dai Ngai village), Tabert School (Soc
Trang town) and Hoa Tu communal house…..will form a lot
of tourism products as ecological tourist, furlough
after strenuous service, sports, entertainment, even
thrilling sports on rivers, cultural – historical and
religious study…The products of arts such as pictures,
statues with the excellence of special foods such as
Soft Noodles and Sauce (Bun Nuoc Leo), Pia Cake, Cong
Cake, dried meat, chinese sausage,… will fascinate the
tourists to come to Soc Trang. Together with tourism
development, carrying out business on restaurants,
hotels, travel services, ….plays an important role. Many
hotels and restaurants have recently been built, others
have been reconstructed or rebuilt such as Khanh Hung
Hotel, Trade Union Tourism Hotel, Phu Loi Hotel, Phu Quy
Hotel…
The hotels are able to satisfy the need of
tourists to Soc Trang. Basing on the above optimistic
things, Soc Trang is going to be one of the most
interesting places in Vietnam in the near future to meet
the task proposed in the Decision of Soc Trang Committee
of Party Congress. Soc Trang inhabitants will own this
non – smoke industry and make Soc Trang become more and
more wealthy and beautiful. |
